How far away from the wall does this mirror sit when placed? Does the light illuminate from behind the mirror or through the front of the mirror? How does it differ from the one they is $199?
Well the depth of the mirror itself is about 2in. It is not backlit, though; the only light is from the front. This style is much more desirable and classic than the $199 Vertical style, so it costs a little more.

Is the lighting on the outside edge of the mirror? Is it from an LED strip of lights? Does "from the front" lighting mean that it shines through the glass from behind? Not sure of the definition of backlit vs. from the front.

Can this mirror be installed with a wall switch. I’m replacing a light which is hooked up to a wall switch. I would like 3 mirrors over my very large vanity.
