Construction
These lights are constructed from injection-molded, high-quality, Engineering-grade, retardant thermoplastic. They are equipped with fire-resistant qualities.

Illumination

The fixture is constructed with Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) injection-molded thermoplastic. The fixture’s capacity to resist heat under emergency conditions allows it to perform at its fullest.
During Emergency
An internal solid-state transfer switch allows uninterrupted emergency operation for at least 90 minutes if the regular utility power fails. Within 24 hours, the fully automatic charger starts recharging a discharged battery.

Do these signs have to be wired into the wall, I’m looking for battery powered only ?
While this model will give you a 90 minutes battery backup, however, the light is operated through a wired connection with the power source.
